My Garage Door only opens part way.

Please do not continue to hit the button, that may irreversibly damage your door or opener. If it only opens a few inches and stops, you may have a broken spring. My Garage Door doesn't close.

Have you checked to make sure the eye sensors at the bottom aren't blocked by anything? Most brands have a light on them to indicate if they're looking at each other. Some are both red, some have one orange and one green, the important thing is making sure they are both lit. Wiggle them around a bit until both lights are solid and try again.

My transmitter isn't opening my door, or I have to get really close to get it to work.

Some openers, especially older ones, have issues with LED light bulbs. Try taking the bulb out, or replacing it with a standard incandescent light bulb. If that doesn't work, try replacing the battery in your transmitter.

My door isn't doing anything when I hit the button.

Does it have power? Can you hear a faint click or see the light turn on when you hit the button? If no, check to make sure the outlet has power. GFCI outlets are a common issue. If there is power, pull the red release cord and try to lift it by hand. You should be able to open your door with one hand.

I can hear the motor in the opener running, but it won't move the door.

My door is loud, squeaky, or sounds like it's grinding on something.
